Hey guys! ~(° ▽ °)~

So Jun and I got his linguistics stuff figured out for the most part. Thanks a lot to everyone for helping us figure out a starting point!! Especially Bree R. Downey, Amanda May, and ジョン ペーター!! Without your explanation for the first page of particle movement transformation I'm not sure I ever would have understood it. ^^;

Apparently this is a multi-course class where the students basically teach the book to the class themselves. Each student is given a certain number of pages and then presents for an hour. Jun had previously taken a year off, and the course he was supposed to take changed to this so he didn't take the first course and never learned the beginning of the book!

But, the thing I really wanted to say is that apparently the students are supposed to give this presentation in Japanese. But Jun asked for special permission to do it in English so he could practice his speaking! I didn't find out until yesterday but I'm so proud of him!! \(^ ▽ ^)/

I mentioned on one of the pages that it's not very common even for English majors to actually be able to speak the language well, so Jun is pretty unusual for going out of his way to speak the language. Typically what matters most to people is your TOEIC score, and you can get almost full marks using just your reading abilities without actually being able to speak the language, so that's something that happens a lot in Japan.

In Japan I think it might be rude (or at the very least not tasteful) for me to say things like this since he's my husband, but I know that even though we all think his English is great he doesn't have much confidence in himself and I want him to know that he really is amazing! ^^ And honestly sometimes I am just star-struck by him and I think he's so incredible. ♥ He puts so much effort into learning English and has made it this far without ever even studying abroad! I'm just really proud of him!!

PS: Jun might make me delete this after he wake up (° ▽ °)
